Butter Cookies

Makes: 30/40 cookies (depending on the size of your cookies)


  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 50g icing sugar
  • 150g flour
  • 50g Maizena (corn flour)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence


  1. Lightly grease a baking tray and set aside
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C
  3. Beat the icing sugar and butter until creamy
  4. Sift the flour and corn flour together and add to the butter mixture. Mix well
  5. Scoop the batter into a piping bag and pipe small amounts of batter onto the tray. Remember to allow sufficient space in between
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 – 15 minutes or until the edges of the biscuits are slightly browned.
